Omar Sy is a French actor and comedian known for his versatile performances across film and television. Born on January 20, 1978, in Trappes, France, he first gained attention for his work on the French sketch comedy show “SAV des émissions.” Omar’s breakout film role came with “The Intouchables” (2011), where his portrayal of Driss earned him the César Award for Best Actor, making him the first actor of African descent to win the award. Since then, Sy has taken on a variety of roles in both French and international films. His international visibility further increased with his starring role in the Netflix series “Lupin,” which gained global acclaim.
