Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, is an American DJ, record producer, and songwriter. He’s known for his eclectic and genre-blending style, drawing from various musical influences, including electronic, reggae, and hip-hop. As a co-creator and member of the electronic dancehall music project Major Lazer, he’s produced numerous hit tracks. Diplo is also part of the supergroups LSD (with Sia and Labrinth) and Silk City (with Mark Ronson). His collaborations span a wide range of artists, from M.I.A. to Beyoncé, showcasing his versatility and influence in the music industry.
