French Montana, born Karim Kharbouch, is a Moroccan-American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He immigrated to the U.S. from Morocco in his teens and began his music career in the Bronx, New York. Gaining initial traction with his “Cocaine City” DVD series, he later broke into mainstream recognition with hits like “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee. Montana’s music style blends hip-hop with global sounds, especially reflecting his North African roots. Throughout his career, he’s collaborated with a range of top artists and has become known for both his solo work and his features on other artists’ tracks. Beyond music, French Montana is also known for his philanthropic efforts, especially in health and education sectors in Africa.
